Romantic Grand Cayman

Create the Perfect Romantic Getaway in Grand Cayman

A wonderfully romantic hotel choice is one of the keys to a sensual getaway with your significant other that will be cherished for years to come. A great place to stay is the Caribbean Club which has private one, two and three bedroom villas. These villas have a stocked kitchen with great food available for your dining and snacking delight. An in room massage is a great way for couples to relax together and help create that sexual bliss later.  Also included free of charge are private beach cabanas, where your can enjoy Seven Mile Beach together with a little bit of privacy. Here is a list of romantic supplies to pack.

Step number two is to call the hotel and see if you can have some flowers delivered to the hotel and then placed in your room prior to your arrival. If so, call Trisha’ Roses at 345 949-2423 and order a beautiful bouquet of roses or other flowers that will really surprise and delight your lover upon your arrival. These flowers will also add to the romance of your room during those intimate moments.

Once you arrive on the Island, you will want to get some supplies to help create those magical moments together during your stay on Grand Cayman. Head to Kirk Market (413 Eastern Ave. – 345-949-7022)  where you can get fresh fruit, items to make breakfast in bed, cheese and crackers, whipped cream, plates, plastic silverware and other romantic foods that you can feed your lover as you indulge in a sweet embrace. It might be overkill but if you do not want to make a romantic platter, you can order a platter of food (like Fruit Trays, Meat and Cheese Trays, Cheese and Crackers Platters, assorted Cookie Platters).  You can even order online the day before you go so it will be ready for pick up when you arrive in the islands. This grocery also has a deli so that you could pick up sandwiches for a picnic and they have a selection of gourmet cheeses to make your own cheese tray.

Next head to Premier Wine and Spirits (#1 West Shore Center, West Bay Rd.) or Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits (16 N Sound Rd, George Town) to get some wine and champagne that you can share together on the beach, by the pool or during some alone time in your hotel room.

Today would be a great day to head to the pool or the beach to get a little rest and relaxation prior to your wild weekend with your lover. Maybe you can score one of those private cabanas so that you can enjoy some alone time. Maybe bring some wine or cocktails to enjoy as you spend that much needed time together. Just remember no glass so fill a plastic carafe and plastic wine glasses.

After you day on the beach or by the pool, wander over to Tortuga Beach Grill and Bar to enjoy a beautiful sunset and live Caribbean music. Also enjoy happy hour from 5 to 7 pm. After happy hour and the sunset, head to Blue by Eric Ripert (In the Ritz Carlton) for a wonderful upscale romantic dinner. Blue is the only AAA five star restaurant in the Caribbean and is a great restaurant for wine lovers with over 700 wines available for purchase. Pick one of their tasting menus for a wonderful meal. You can even make reservations online. If you are really brave, you can take a sunset helicopter tour with Cayman Island Helicopters. After the tour, the helicopter will drop you off at the Ritz Carlton and then they will have a limo take you back to your hotel when dinner is done.

After dinner head out to the pool and enjoy the wonderful Caribbean night air. Maybe enjoy another glass of wine as you hold hands and stare at the stars. If you are not quite full, yet maybe even make a small cheese and cracker tray to share but remember to save room for dessert.

After some time gazing at the stars, it is time to head up to your room for some dessert. Break out the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries or other dessert that you picked up at the market. After dessert, it is time to break out the whipped cream.

If you are not too worn out by a night of passion, pack yourself a romantic breakfast and head to Smith Cove (On South Church Street) to enjoy a romantic sunrise. After sunrise, head back to the hotel and pack a picnic for two and then head out in search of a romantic beach to spend the day at and enjoy your wonderful lunch together. One place to check out is Barker’s National Park (North End of West Bay)  which is usually not as busy as some of the beaches. The only issue with this beach is that it is at the end of a long dirt road that you need a four wheel drive to get down to it. Also you could head over to the beaches on the north end of the island and on beach that is just before The Reef Resort (1 Queens Hwy) at Colliers (East End). While you are on the North End of the island head over to Rum Point and stop by the the Wreck Bar to share a Mudslide which was supposedly created here.

For dinner, head to the Wharf for a great sunset and an even better dinner at the Wharf which is an upscale seafood restaurant. Here you can eat overlooking the water as you enjoy each other and your delicious dinner. Start out with the Crab Fantasy for an appetizer and maybe some lobster bisque. For dinner, try Deluxe Seafood and Fish Combo for Two, Surf and Turf or the Caribbean Lobster Diane. Another wonderful option is Casanova’s if you like Italian. You can even dine on the beach and the food is wonderful. After dinner, you may want to check out XQ’s Bar and Grill (233 W Bay Rd, KY 1-1204) where they have a Piano Lounge where you can listen to some romantic music in a wonderful atmosphere.

When you are ready, head back to the hotel and draw up a warm and inviting bath. Add some bubbles, some flame-less candles, some romantic music, a romantic dessert and wine or champagne and you will end your night with a bang.

With some of your supplies you gathered from the grocery store, create a awe inspiring breakfast in bed full of romance and fun. You can use a mixture or fruit, pastries and donuts to create a very vivid meal. Add some mimosas to the mixture plus some whipped cream and you may stay in bed all day. Learn how to make a wonderful breakfast.

Today should be full of action to get both your heart’s pounding. You both should take one of the many tours and excursions the island has to offer. For example, if you both scuba dive, there is some great scuba diving in the area. If you are not scuba divers, then take a tour to Stingray City where you can swim with the stingrays and then head off to do some snorkeling at some beautiful reefs around the island. Pack a romantic lunch for two if your tour does not provide one.

In the afternoon, maybe head out to Hibiscus Spa at the Westin for a relaxing massage and spa treatment.

Tonight start out your evening with a sunset cruise with Red Sail Sport on one of their spacious 65 foot catamarans for a two hour breath taking tour. You will enjoy complimentary appetizers and can get drinks from the cash bar. Hold each other tight as you sit on the hammocks listening to the water rush below and watching the sunset. This tour departs from the Westin Hotel and then the Grand Cayman Beach Suites.

After dinner, wander over to the Grand Old House for dinner and live nightly jazz. Enjoy your romantic dinner overlooking the water and sipping wine from their award winning wine list. Start out with some Braised Short Rib Ravioli followed by a lobster salad. For dinner, partake in Butter Poached Lobster or the mouthwatering Chilean Sea Bass. For dessert try the Red Velvet Lava Cake.

After dinner take a nice stroll down the beach hand in hand as you listen the gentle waves crashing upon the shore. If you are up for a little nightlife, head over to O-bar for a night of dancing and fun.

Let’s start out with breakfast in bed again or maybe have breakfast on your balcony and enjoy the view. After a nice romantic breakfast, head out to the Mastic Trail where you can hold hands and take a nice leisurely stroll through nature. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a delicious meal in nature. After lunch, head over to Queen Elizabeth’s Botanical Gardens for more leisurely strolling through nature. Here you will find wonderful nature trails and gardens filled with beautiful flowers and singing birds.

Head over to Rum Point and grab dinner at Kaibo’s Upstairs where you can enjoy a six course tasting menu and if you want to pair it with wine courses as well. Dinner here can take 2 to 3 hours if you do the tasting menu so plan accordingly especially if you are going to be taking the Biolumeniscent Kayak Tour. You can also order A La Carte. The food is local and Caribbean fusion. This restaurant has won best restaurant many times over the years. Also spend some time sitting together in one of the couches sipping on rum in the Rare Rum Bar. If you plan on going make sure you make reservations. They can be made online. If there happens to be a full moon, check out there Luna Del Mar which is a full moon dinner.

After dinner take a magically romantic Biolumeniscent Kayak Tours with Cayman Kayaks. Take this guided night tour, and as you paddle through the water, your paddle will create cool glowing blue streaks. Call first because these tours are only on the darkest of nights.
